Very disappointed about my experience on a recent Sunday afternoon. Ordered 2 servings of chicken rice, beef noodle soup, lamb noodle soup, and dumplings. I waited 40 minutes for my food. I understand there was only one lady working, but it was a Sunday afternoon when food court is at its busiest. They should’ve put another person on. I saw other people waiting for a long time as well. If it was going to take 40 minutes for my food, it should’ve been made known to me right after I ordered (ordered on kiosk) and while I was standing near the stall. Additionally, the food is subpar. I got their dumplings many times. That’s always been good. Noodle soups were okay. You can definitely find better at other places. Chicken rice that I waited 40 mins for (the lady told me she had to fry them and hence why it took so long) was the most disappointing. I had to even throw a serving away uneaten. The chicken was too soggy and fatty. Flavor had potential. I hate to leave a bad review on a small business but I’m hoping they see these low reviews recently and improve in the areas they need to. Chinatown has so many great dumpling options, and this is one of them. Tucked away in a modest food hall, this Taiwanese food stall serves a variety of friend and boiled dumplings, and adds an egg drop soup for free with a dumplings purchase. It is no frills, but tasty.

Sanmiwago took a moment to find--tucked inside Mott Street Eatery, a bustling little food hall--but once we spotted it, we couldn't wait to try their Taiwanese dumplings. The woman at the counter was incredibly sweet and welcoming. I loved that she spoke both Cantonese and Mandarin (and likely English too), which made the experience feel warm and familiar. We asked for her recommendation, and she suggested the pork and chive pan-fried dumplings--which turned out to be absolutely delicious. They had a crisp, golden bottom and were bursting with flavor. To our surprise, the dumpling order even came with a little cup of egg drop soup, which was such a sweet and satisfying touch. We also tried the beef noodle soup, which was rich, comforting, and perfect for the chilly, rainy day we visited. The vibe at Mott Street Eatery is very community-centered, with large shared tables that seat five or more. Seating is limited, so don't be surprised if a stranger ends up at your table--but honestly, that just adds to the charm. It's a lovely reminder of how food can bring people together. Went there on a Saturday at noon—no need to wait in line. The service was slow, and the food wasn’t authentic or good quality. We ordered the braised pork rice, braised duck rice, and dumplings. The dumplings were okay, but they didn’t offer any vinegar. The duck and pork were extremely fatty and didn’t taste good at all. Take your money elsewhere. Next time, I’ll just go for a Vietnamese sandwich instead.

One of the best dumplings I’ve had! Get the BOILED signature for the real deal. $7 including an egg drop soup. The fried signature was good too but I feel it’s more for westerners’ taste. Con: be prepared to wait! They make things fresh so it’ll take longer than you expect. Worth the wait though
